Sometimes I wish life were a bit more exciting. I mean, nothing really has happened lately. Or should I say the past few years? No drama between me and other girls. Or about a guy belonging to which girl is better for him. Nope. None! No drama at all! Sounds pretty boring don't you think? I'm in tenth grade and boyfriendless. That sums up the crappy part of my life, but hey now! I have a cool part too! The cool part is that I have a couple of best friends that are the coolest in the world. Seriously, but I'll tell you more about them when the time comes. As of right now...I'M GOING TO BE LATE FOR SCHOOL!!

"You have got to be kidding me! Why the heck didn't you wake me up earlier, idiot!?" I yelled at my brother, Koshuu, who didn't wake me up at 5:00am but it is now 6:45am. While I slipped my school uniform on as fast as I possibly could. I love school uniforms. They so come in handy at times like this!

"Hey now monster, I can't wake you up all the time." He sounded annoyed.

"I am not a monster!!" I yelled back and finished putting my short brown hair into a ponytail. No time to waste on hair! Not when it's..."OH MY GOSH! I FORGOT IT'S THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!! I can't be late!" I need to get to school! So I ran out my room, rushed down the stairs. School stuff in bag ready and set. I hurried and put my shoes on. I caught a glimpse of my dad's short feathery brown hair in the corner of my eye.

"Woke up late again?" He said in a not angry tone. I'm not suprised. My dad is a very nice and gentle person. He wouldn't hurt a fly!

"Yes I did! No thanks to koshuu! And that alarm clock needs to be fixed!"

"Your brother is not an alarm clock."

"...Dad, I wasn't talking about koshuu! My actual alarm clock needs to be fixed. Nevermind that now though! I'm going to be late!" I ran out the door right after that. While yelling bye to my dad and Koshuu. Oh yeah, and my older brother is in college so that's why he's not in a rush or anything. For him, he's on some break still or something.

Anyways, back to me! It was killer on my legs on the run to school but I actually made it. Horray! But how the heck did I forget today was the first day of school? Oh well no worries! I'm in the classroom now, Waiting on the teacher.

"Sakura! Good morning! How're you?" said Atsuni.

"I'm fine thanks. Oh and I actually finished the summer homework just yesterday!" I told her. Oh and please forgive me! I'm sorry! I forgot to mention, my name is Sakura Kinitsuno. Sorry for the lateness!

"Well you need to stop procrastinating. It's becoming a bad habit of yours lately." Atsuni said seriously. Atsuni is one of my best friends. We've known each other since 6th grade. She is very pretty; however, she doesn't have a boyfriend. Her skin is pale-ish, her eyes have a violet colored look, and her hair is about two inches below the shoulder. Atsuni is about 5'3", taller than me by an inch! Her hair is black, silky, and as straight as it can be.

"Atsuni you're so cool!" I said as I gazed at her beauty. I mean who wouldnt't? She's just that pretty. Although people don't know her much because she doesn't talk so much. Unless, you're a good friend like me! When she does talk, people start to gaze at her too, but she's totally used to it. It's been happening ever since she moved here, before we started 6th grade.

"Hey, have you spoken to Naoko lately? I just got a letter from--"

"AH!" Atsuni's words were cut off by a bunch of girls screams in the classroom. They look like they've all seen a ghost. In a way their faces looked exteremely funny. I wonder why everyone's so shocked?

"Sakura, look over there," Atsuni whispered to me as she was helping me off the floor. Well, you see, I fell out of my chair because the screams of most of the girls in our class scared me half to death. I think my ears are bleeding. Not really, but you get it right?

I reached for Atsuni's helping hand and went straight back to sitting in my seat. Ok, Atsuni told me to look where? It suddenly got quiet. Then to hushed whispers. I am so confused right now! So I looked at Atsuni hoping she would give me a sign of what was going on. She caught my eye and pointed to the front of the classroom. We both sat way in the back to the far left. I have window seat! I turned my attention to the front of the class.

"Who's that?" I whispered to Atsuni.

She read the board. "It says his name is Konotsu Uhachi," Atsuni whispered back.

"He looks--"

"Now class, please welcome our new student who has moved here from Kyoto," anounced Ms. Mizuki, "he is going to be in this class now so please show him around." A few girls giggled, as Atsuni and I sighed. "Konotsu you can sit," Ms. Mizuki scanned the classroom.

"Oh no! Atsuni she's going to put his seat in--"

"In front of Sakura," Ms. mizuki fnished. All the girls glared at me because Konotsu was going to sit in fron of me. No one sat in front of me; therefore, leaving an EMPTY SEAT RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME!  As Konotsu walked toward his seat, the chatting bulit up. I sweatdropped and Atsuni had the most worried face I had ever seen her wear. That made me feel worried that this meant bad news. Really bad. As worried thoughts drowned my mind, suddenly I heard a voice. I looked up from my desk to where I thought the voice had come from. It was him.
