I wanted a normal life. When I entered high school I thought it would be that way and it was for a while. However, my last year in high school is about to change drastically. I have a new bodyguards and more security. Some high used-to-be Corp. leader is out to get me because of some misunderstanding. Suigata-san, the "used-to-be Corp. leader",  thinks that someone in the Yukumi family killed his whole family but it was actually someone else. So, my family was framed and this someone has something against us. Last we heard, Suigata-san was spotted here in Tokyo looking for me. As for now, the new bodyguard that I'm supposed to have near me is rather different.

"So we all have to stay close to Nano at all times," said my dad.

I looked around at the people sitting around my dining room table. It was Naomi, Inuka-sensei, Reiyu, me, and my dad. The other bodyguards were already informed about the whole situation.

Everyone's expressions were so serious. It felt a little tense in the room.

"That is all," my dad said as he got up and left the room.

We all watched as he left.

I sighed. I'm just bothering everyone now.

It was silent for a moment in the room. I wondered how everyone else felt about this, about how they had to stay near me at all times. Did any of it bother them?

Reiyu got up from his seat and said, "Please excuse me." Then he glanced at me and walked off into the hallway.

I really wondered how he felt about all of this. Didn't he have his own life before all this happened?

Naomi and Inuka-sensei got up from their seats as well. I got up from my seat too.

"Naomi, Inuka-sensei, I'm sorry about all this." I told them.

They both looked at me and I saw Naomi smile. "Don't worry about it. We're friends right?"

I smiled.

"Don't think I'll be lenient on any of your assignments," Inuka-sensei said with a smile.

I made a face at Inuka-sensei. "Right," I started leading them out to the door, "you guys better get going it's getting late."

"We'll see you tomorrow though right?" Naomi asked with a worried face.

"Of course," I smiled to reassure her, "see you tomorrow." Then they left.

Soon after that, I went to my room and fell on top of my bed. Now what...

I heard a knocking on my door. I fell asleep? It's so late.

"Nano, I'm coming in."

It was Reiyu's voice. My eyes shot open. I panicked and sat up on my bed, "Wait don't!-"

It was too late, he was in my room already. I blinked at his soft, glowing expression.

"You were screaming in your sleep."

My eyes widened. "Oh." Was I? I watched Reiyu as he came closer to me. I probably look like a mess right now. Great.

"Sorry about that," I gestured for him to take a seat at the edge of my bed, "was I too loud?"

He didn't even look like a bodyguard. Right at the moment, he was wearing dark blue jeans and a black polo. He was so cute. Wait! No!! What am I saying!?

"Well, not really but it seems like I was the only one who heard you," he was looking at me now obviously concerned.  "Are you alright?"

I nodded and at the same time trying to hold back a blush. He's worried about me? Wait. He's just doing his job. Don't get too excited. "I'm fine. Sorry I bothered you."

"It's my job to watch over you." He kept a straight face.

Hn. I thought so. "Well.. Ah, thank you. You may leave now," I smiled.

He smiled too. I looked over his features. His slightly pale looking skin, his dark obsidian eyes, his soft expression, his dark brown wind blown looking hair.. He looked just about perfect.

"Before I go, here."

He handed me a little case with a cute design covering it. The design had blue stars and white clouds on it spread around neatly, outlined with pink and yellow lines. I opened it and flushed tomato red.

"You got this for me?" I asked. I held the two mechanical Cinnamoroll pencils in my hand.

"Yes," Reiyu got closer and I shut my eyes tight. "If you need anything, I'll be right here," he softly whispered in my ear. I felt my heart beat slow down.

It felt like we stayed like that for a while. Then he moved away and I opened my eyes slowly, already in a trance. That did not just happen.

"H-How did you know?"

"I saw the Cinnamoroll things on your desk and I was going to give it to you tomorrow," I saw a tint of red cover his cheeks.

I blinked at him. Oh, that's right. Tomorrow's-

"Tomorrow's December 20, your birthday, right?"

"Y-Yeah," I tilted my head a little bit. "How'd you know about that too?"

"I saw it on the calendar on the refrigerator," he smiled at me.

"Oh." This made me happy. This was the first time a boy's given me a gift. This felt nice. I smiled at Reiyu. I was really happy. It meant a lot to me. "Thank you, Reiyu."

I saw that light tint of red cover his cheeks again as he got up and started walking towards my bedroom door, "Happy birthday Nano."

He stopped then and turned to look at me. "Goodnight," he said with a soft, gentle smile.

I flushed hard. His expression was really too much for me. "G-goodnight." I'm glad I didn't blurt out "don't leave" instead. That would have been embarrassing.

I watched him as he left my room. I thought of Reiyu again when I stared at the present he gave me. I didn't care that it was small or anything. It just made me happy. I really wasn't expecting anything at all but I forgot that my dad left the calendar out and open for every and anyone to see. But I really thought that no one would really notice it. Cinnamoroll was my favorite Sanrio character. I collected various things of it. From pencils to pens, or erasers to stationaries. If it was cute, I would usually drool over it. It made my face heat up that Reiyu was the one who bought it for me.

I wrapped myself in my blanket and rolled around, feeling butterflies. I don't want to say that I like him already! I hardly know him at all! Then I stayed still.

I wonder just who he is exactly...
